Moving day

Big news at Manhattan School of Music — this week we’re clearing out dozens of administration offices to make way for new practice rooms, rehearsal spaces, teaching studios, and classrooms at 120 Claremont Avenue. Many of our admin staff is moving to office space on the 4th floor of Andersen Hall next door.

Work is also underway to build 28 new practice rooms in Andersen Hall — the space will also include restrooms and a lounge area. AND, in the basement of Andersen Hall, a dividable acting and dance studio is being built to meet the needs of the new Musical Theatre program.

You can follow the progress of the construction in Andersen Hall on an information board located in the student lounge near the security desk where photos are being put up on a time line (photo below).
